PURPOSE:  HIGHLIGHTING ABILITIES

The foundation was organized to provide support to Pickens County Board Of Disabilities and Special Needs.  Funding for this non-profit organization is provided by SCDDSN to support its programs and basic needs for the clients it serves.  The foundation advocates and provides resources to support persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities and special needs, autism spectrum disorders, traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and other related conditions.  With your help, we are able to assist people with disabilities in meeting needs, pursuing individual possibilities and achieving life goals.  The foundation will provide supplemental funding for recreational and community activities.

We Support:

The Foundation provides participants help with the following: 

• Special Olympics:  T-shirts or uniforms, medals or trophies, and travel expenses

• Basketball Camp:  T-shirts, medals, transportation, and meals

• Art Camp:  With our Local Artist Dale Stone held for one week

• Summer Camps:  Camp Hope & Camp Spearhead:  Help with funding

• Prom and Holiday Socials:  Help with food, decorations, dress/suits, and getting ready for the event

• Thanksgiving meal for participants and their families

• Christmas gifts for those that don’t have families

• Client requests: Emergency assistance for families of participants such as:  Medical, dental, rent, utilities, etc.

Yearly Sponsorship Levels:

• Up to $100.00:  Your name listed on our website and newsletter and a thank you gift.

• $101.00 to $200.00:  1 ticket to our yearly event, your name listed on our website and newsletter, and a thank you gift.

• $201.00 and above:  2 tickets to our yearly event, your name listed on our website and newsletter, and a thank you gift.
